\n\nSince 1991\, future generations of Lake Protectors have begun their journeys aboard the \;Lake George Association&rsquo\;s Floating Classroom. During this fun and fact-filled cruise\, you'\;ll measure water clarity\, catch zooplankton\, and investigate other water quality parameters &mdash\; gaining hands-on insight into what it takes to keep Lake George clear and clean.
\n\nYou'\;ll also learn about the history of the Floating Classroom program\, the importance of educating both residents and visitors about lake protection\, and how this popular experience now reaches more than 2\,000 participants each year.

\n LOCATION:Meet at the Public Doc on Beach Road (screenshot of location: Public Doc Map) by 1:45 p.m. The boat departs promptly at 2:00 p.m. Parking: Paid public parking is available throughout the Village. We do not anticipate heavy traffic on Wednesday. What to wear: Weather is looking perfect\, but it can get windy on the lake bring a light sweatshirt if you get cold easily. Closed or open-toe shoes are both fine. What to bring: Non-glass containers are welcome on board and can be stored safely in our deck boxes during the trip. Come ready with your questions this is a unique opportunity to experience and learn about Lake George's ecology and preservation efforts!
